An Open Letter
Assalamu Alaikum
Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss
To all our friends and acquaintances:

Recently, some Zionists have adopted a new tactic in their war against Judaism and their distortion of the Torah, which has prompted us to write this letter.

We have become aware that letters bearing the name of our organization, “Neturei Karta,” and my name, “Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss,” have been sent to our friends and their organizations, falsely claiming that we have changed our Torah views. We wish to reassure you that, with G-d's help, we remain true to the Torah and pray to G-d that we will always remain loyal to His teachings. We will never recognize the state of “Israel” and will always oppose Zionism, the State of “Israel,” and all that emanates from it and its affiliates.

If you receive any letters purporting to be from me or Neturei Karta that do not contain my original signature (not a copy), or that seem suspicious, please disregard them and contact us immediately.

2. Muslim Leaders Join Orthodox Jewish Rabbis at Press Conference and Rally

New York City – August 19, 2005

Muslim leaders, Orthodox Jewish rabbis, and laypeople will gather with G-d’s help across from the United Nations Headquarters, at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, to express gratitude to G-d for recent events and to offer prayers for the future.

Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss of Neturei Karta International, Jews United Against Zionism, stated:
With the return of Gaza to the Palestinian populace, a process of rectification, although painful to some, has begun.
Two grave wrongs have been committed in the confiscation of the Holy Land from the Palestinian people:
First, this is a rebellion against G-d, who has expressly forbidden us, the Jewish people, from ending the G-dly decreed exile by creating our own state. This holds true regardless of the location or the will of the indigenous population.
Second, this rebellion has been compounded by the fact that the creation of the state has involved taking land against the will of the Palestinian people, expelling them from their homes and properties, and subjecting them to ongoing suffering.

Although the return of Gaza has been painful for those who fell prey to Zionism, we give thanks to G-d for righting a wrong. We pray that this token beginning will lead to the day when the entire Holy Land will be restored to its rightful rulers, the Palestinian people, in peace and without further bloodshed.

We fervently pray that G-d will enlighten the Jewish people who have been led astray to understand His will and serve Him with joy. Ultimately, may we merit to see the day when G-d reveals His glory and all of humanity serves Him in peace and harmony. Amen.

3. Monsey, NY: August 10, 2005: Orthodox Jews Oppose Assemblyman Dov Hikind’s Racial Profiling

A group of rabbis representing Orthodox Jews in New York will gather, with G-d’s help, on the steps of New York City Hall to publicly oppose Assemblyman Dov Hikind’s stance on racial profiling by the New York City Police Department. His views are his alone and do not represent the views of Orthodox Judaism or Orthodox Jewry.

Hikind’s position is deeply insulting to us and to the respected Arab community. We maintain strong and friendly relationships with the Arab and Muslim communities, both in the United States and abroad, and we view Hikind’s statements as a personal affront. We fully support the New York State Police Department’s swift rejection of Hikind’s proposal.

We pray for a swift and just world peace. Amen.
