Is the USA serious enough regarding the war against ISIS? Fadhil Qaradaghi 1-The White House said, few weeks ago, that they need 20 years to destroy (or defeat, not sure) ISIS. Few months were enough to destroy the Iraqi army and its leadership and to occupy the whole of Iraq, so talking about 20 years may mean that the US "wants" ISIS to remain for such period, perhaps to destroy the Middle East. If so, we may understand why the US's war against ISIS is not, actually, a war, but rather a sort of tickling that organization. 2-And now I have read this report published by Rudaw (a Kurdish TV channel owned by Nechirvan Barzani, nephew of Masud Barzani, the head of Kurdistan “Democratic” Parti). A lot of evidence, witnessed by a peshmarga leader in the area, to show that the USA is not earnest concerning fighting ISIS in Sinjar and behaving as if trying to protect ISIS from peshmarga: (Two comments on a facebook post of the Kurdish writer Kamran Karadaghi) Link: Rudaw report (in Kurdish): http://rudaw.net/sorani/kurdistan/09112015 https://www.facebook.com/fadhil.qaradaghi/posts/915969771789874 09-02-2015 www.zagros.org/english-articles-2016-05-27-194323 12926 views |
