Will Obama manage a coup against Trump? Fadhil Qaradaghi To remind Mr Obama: when the president of Egypt was the Islamic Dr. Muhammad Mursi, Mr Obama said that democracy is not only elections. And to remind him also; it wasn't one voting but they was six, one of which the presidency election and in which Mursi won, and the parliament election in which the Islamic parties achieved a great success, and then voting for the constitution prepared mostly by Islamic members of the parliament. So according to Mr Obama, democracy doesn't mean voting for elections but it is much more than that. We know that Trump, has won the US presidency elections and will become the next president of the US, but Mr Obama knows how Trump is dangerous for the country and its democracy and even for that entire world. Did Obama administration manage the coup in Egypt? Or, at any rate, didn't know about it but let it go without interfering? The best case is that Obama swallowed it, thinking that a coup would be better than the rule of Muslim Brotherhood. And now the case is the same, Trump was elected but the elections are not all what democracy is, and hence we would ask: Will Obama manage a coup against Trump? Just remember that Muhammad Mursi was the first elected president in Egypt since the time of Menes, the pharaoh—or rather, Narmer as he is called in the old inscriptions—which means that Mursi was the first elected ruler in Egypt since about 3000 BC, which also means for more than 5000 years, or more than that since there were other rulers before Narmer.
But Obama will never urge the others to do anything that may look like a coup. Coup-solutions are exclusive gifts of the West for our countries.
